	The Marines have arrived...at Kewanee Hog Days! Direct from New Orleans, the USMC Band will be spending their weekend playing THREE standup concerts, marching in the Hog Days Parade and rumor has it they'll be running the 4 mile Hog Days Stampede race, just to get a little exercise in while they're here! The first concert is Friday, September 1st at 5 pm on the main stage in the People's Bank lot. It's going to be all partriotic songs. Get ready to be moved. The Marines have landed!

	Making the Quad Cities presence known, the Five Bridges jazz ensemble will be in downtown Kewanee to play some all time great jazz pieces. Located near "food row" on Tremont Street, grab something to eat and bring your lawn chairs for seating!

	Okay, even the Marines need a little get down time and here it is with USMC Concert #3 this Hog Days weekend! The Rock n Roll band is letting their crewcuts down (!) and doing some serious jamming of your favorite rock hits. All while you enjoy supper under the Barbecue Tent from 6:30 to approximately 8 pm.

	Michael Moncada and Whiskey High!
	This group performed their first show in 2017. Less than a year later, they had over 75 shows at venues in THREE states to their name! By the time 2018 rolled around, the band was up to 250 shows! Obviously, popularity and great performances are just two of their super powers!

	We wrap up this year's Kewanee Hog Days with a performance by one of our own groups, The Incredible 45s (formerly known as the Glory Days Garage Band). They were such a gigantic hit under the big tent at the barbecue, we just didn't wanna mess with fate! So, consider this an encore performance this year. By the way, while they play, we'll be cooking up the last chops and patties for this year. So, consider this a win-win for you and a bye-bye to Hog Days 2023!

	The Hog Days Pig Plop!
	Come on down to the Johnson Appliance parking lot for the final formal event on the hog days schedule...the second annual Pig Plop. Between now and hog days, you can buy numbered rubber pigs from the Kewanee Chamber of Commerce. At 3 pm on hog days Monday, all several thousand will be dropped from the sky. The winners (determined by the Miss World Festival Royalty and the Chamber of Commerce) will receive cash prizes starting at $500.00!



Here it comes! Installment #6 of Kewanee Hog Days Kid's Day! This last day of our end of summer celebration is dedicated to the youngsters with a variety of events just for them. They'll be operating either IN the People's National Bank parking lot or in the vicinity of Tremont and Second Streets. Sometimes the lines get long. Start practicing your Zen breathing now! Remember, ALL of the events listed below are absolutely FREE of charge (one of the reasons lines can be long!) so that you and the kids can enjoy without needing extra cash. *So Come on down! 	Okay, I think I can see all the lizards and reptiles from over here, a block away! But for those wanting a closer look, Coal Black Exotics, an educational exhibit service that appears at schools all over the Midwest, their "show" of animals will be in the People's Bank lot between 11 am and 3 pm.
