| Scott Briggs of Burlington, Iowa won his 10th
Labor Day weekend golf tournament at Baker Park over Hog Days weekend
with rounds of 67 and 65. Amy St. John of Peoria, Illinois won her 11th Hog Days weekend golf title in the women's tournament with a 78. |
| The Wagon Wheel team appears to be the area threat to wannabe mud volleyball teams! The team won the title in the Hog Wallow Classic over Hog Days at Chautauqua Park in Kewanee as well as winning the Wagon Wheel Days mud volleyball tournament held a week earlier in Mineral, Illinois! The team consists of players from Neponset, Il as well as Kewanee, Il. |
| A total of 15 teams and 28 players took part
in the first annual Pool Hoggs Billiard Tournament held at the Moose
Lodge in Kewanee, Il. A total purse of $620 went to these winners: 1st place - Ken French - $310 2nd place - Jim Bettis - $170 3rd place - Bernard David - $100 4th place - Joe Dykema - $40 |
| A total of 35 entries came to town for the 39th running of the Ray Behnke Model T and A Road Rally. The participants used poker chips instead of cards for 2007 and prizes were awarded to all after the event. The four top prizes included special duster coats furnished by the Ford Motor Company. A showing of all the cars was held downtown later in the day. Organizers of the event say to watch for 2008's event...it will be the 40th year and extra special and extra big things are being planned! |

A total of 7 teams were entered and a total of $1005.00 was raised in the charity event. Proceeds were equally divided between The Children's Miracle Network and the Jerry Nell Foundation.
